Ta da se i javim. Srpski mi nije maternji ali pošto sam odrastao u Vojvodini skoro mi
dođe kao takav. Govorim ga nekakvom mešavinom lalinskog i bosanskog pošto imam rodbine
Pozdrav,
Toma

Well, that's all I can say for now. I know some more expressions, but they are not useful while writing an introduction. I use the "Teach yourself Serbian" textbook, and it's been quite helpful till now. I decided to learn Serbian because I travel to Greece every year and I meet many Serbs there. Also, it's a beautiful language. I like Russian, but Russian is a soft-sounding Slavic language, and I think I prefer the tough-sounding ones, like for example Serbian.

My biggest problem in Serbian for now are the grammatical cases. Although I perfectly understand the concept, I often attribute wrong cases to the prepositions.
The positive thing for me about learning Serbian is that I'm able to understand a lot of what all of you write in the thread. However, I find Serbian quite tricky, because there are some words in this language that look exactly like Polish words, but have different meaning.
And, believe me or not, I learn a lot through Ceca's songs. ;)

Zdravo Natalia.Kako vidim tvoj srpski odlicno napreduje.
Cases can be quite difficult.Don`t worry, you will master the cases with time without even noticing.A french woman has been living in Belgrade for 10 years. She speaks serbian fluently. She fell in love with a Serb in Paris, came to live in Serbia and broke up with him a year after coming here. She decided to stay here, master the language and now she teaches french language at French Culture Center in Belgrade. If you consider the fact that serbian is much harder for French than it is for Poles, you will be filled with enthusiasm.
I don`t like Ceca and her songs, but I support anything that can help learning any language.
Polish language is thought to be probably the most difficult language in the world. If you master polish, you can master every language.
Serbian is quite difficult even for us.Yes,there are many words that look exactly the same, but with different meaning. It is the same case with serbian and russian.
If you want,be free to contact me via skype or e-mail.
