Thank you all guys for the support! Again, I have great news! =)

РУССКИЙ:

I got to practice A LOOOOT of Russian this week, I'm even impressed with myself. I had a Belarusian friend on Livemocha with whom I hadn't spoken for quite a while. I had nothing to do at work, so I went to her on chat and said Привет! That's when all began! Ahahaha

We started chatting in Russian (since her English is not great, according to her) for 4 hours straight! That was a record! The next day we chatted again for about 2/3 hours, and then came the best part: we decided to try a Skype spoken conversation....brrrr... and it was terrific! =D I was so glad that again, I could understand about 85% (sometimes more) of what she said, I was able to express myself clearly (even with a lot of errors) and we went on for 45 minutes!!!! \o/ \o/ She complimented my Russian, said that for a foreigner I have an excelent accent and could understand all of what I said. Another great confidence booster after a lazy week =D

FRANÇAIS:

Very good also! I didn't really study anything, but practiced a looooooot of French by chatting with a Canadian friend, people on Livemocha and @tarvos. This week (hopefully starting today) I'll go back to my Assimil book, review the last 5-10 lessons and then move to the next one. I'm glad about the "rate" with which my French is evolving, mostly because I can already see it in action (even if only written by now, but anyways). =)

That's it for now guys! I hope we can arrenge a Skype meeting for both teams MIR and ROMULAN soon enough!

Note to self. Must not be envious. Or if envious, must not show it:-)

Jokes aside, I am so happy for you that you can speak Russian with ease. That's brilliant! In 4-5 years I hope to be there too :-)

Wow! What kind of job do you have that you can chat for 4 hours?! I've got to get me one of those jobs! Where do I apply?

I'm a programmer, so I stay behind the computer literally all day =P But it was actually at the end of the day, so probably 1h30 while at work, then I went home and we continued for more 2h30 or so. =)

A great study day for....

FRANÇAIS:

Like I said a few post above, I'm a programmer. I got to work at 9am as usual, turned my computer on, my boss had traveled so I had very few things to do.... and bang! I find out that the internet isn't working =/ That pratically ruined my (and my colleagues') work day. We called the company responsible and they said they would "send a guy" (yeah, I'm still waiting...just at home now) =P

While we were waiting to see if the internet would come back, I thought I was a good idea to get my French Assimil book and take a new lesson.
I actually started by re-reading ALL the previous lessons, from 1 to 21. Then I went to lesson 22. And then to 23. And then to 24! I don't know if it's a good practice, but I'd been away from Assimil for quite a while and I had literally nothing to do there without the internet. During lunch time I listened to the previous lessons from 10 to 21, and then again the last 3 ones. My understanding is pretty good, but I'll give a more accurate overview when I get to the next review lesson =)
