This is the team thread for Croatian.
The purpose of the TAC is to support, help, and encourage each other in our language learning. That means reading each other’s logs, and commenting them where appropriate. I anticipate we will have a relatively small group here, but I am excited to be part of it. Let's have a great year in 2013! Zdravo! Just to give my two cents on the whole naming issue, I'd prefer something a
little less neutral than "Šahovnica" - especially since I'm not exclusively doing Croatian. It's still in the mix, though. Kerrie was probably closer to something I could support, but I'd go for "Zvijezda" (no diminutive). I also thought about something like "Sup", mainly thinking of This guy because they are present in Croatia (and other places as well), but the idea of a vulture as a team name may be a bit strange. In the whole realm of animal names, there's also "Magarac" (=donkey), which might be fitting due to its stubbornness, an important quality for aspiring polyglots. Actually, the whole idea of a vulture fits really well with the annihilation theme, doesn't it? :) Not sure about the donkey thing, though. I'm not sure I want to spend the year being proud to be an ass. :) Am I allowed to say that here? LOL 2 persons have voted this message useful |
