Ik heb een mooi valentijn gedicht gevonden, het heet Drie Woorden:
Lieve Valentijn
Er zijn zoveel woorden
Nutteloos en vaag
Toch wil ik jou zeggen
Het is Valentijn vandaag
Er zijn zoveel woorden
Onzin en zelfs niet waar
Maar dit moet je weten
Samen met jou wil ik
Nog wel honderd jaar
Één mooi gezicht
Jouw tanden wit
Lippen die lachen
Jij bent in mijn bezit
Twee ogen met lichtjes
Ze kijken vrolijk en blij
Een warme blik laat zien
Dat je veel houd van mij
Drie woorden zeggen genoeg
Niet nutteloos en niet vaag
Het zijn maar drie woordjes
Voor altijd, maar vooral vandaag
HOU VAN JOU

Ah yeah, of course, you're right. The 22nd or the 23rd then.
Do you have an idea of when your other Skype session may be? Perhaps we can pick a
convenient time. I'd like to include as many people as possible. :-) |

There are actually usually two different sessions and I only do one, so you probably shouldn't limit the time
selection based on that.

I'd love to participate but unfortunately I'll be away in Montreal that weekend.
Hopefully I'll make the next one.

Hmm, I would love to have you there Tommus! We could possibly edge it into March - the 1st or the 2nd? Would you
Sunday Skype sessions still be a constraint geoffw?

Nederlands-Engels woordenboek. Niet zeker over andere combinaties.

Hi mates,
In my French team, we have a "Word of the Week" Challenge for February. I have just presented a word there that I would love to introduce here, too:
Suzie wrote:
I happened to see a colleague working on something that is not part of her current job description. When I asked her, she told me that she is doing a favour to another colleague, who hadn't wanted to start an official workflow on that and just asked her to do this quickly for a joint project. Smiling, she added "Je le fais en stoemelings..."
I like that expression, because it is a mix of Dutch and French and reflects my ideal of a multilingual society - that finally, wonderful mixes, even whole dialects are created when languages meet. |

I learned this is part of a Brussels dialect, but while it is known in the French-speaking part of Belgium, it does not seem to be known in Flandres to that extend. So for us Dutch learners it really is more of academic interest. Just wanted to share this with you, as I have really fallen in love with this expression....
