Parece maravilhoso! Ele faz me lembrar a ilha de Kauai no Havaí.

belas paisagens e cachoeiras.

Just two remarks:
ela é maravilhosa, you'd be using the object of a sentence as the subject in the
next sentence, so we do add the pronoun to avoid ambiguities. It's not wrong not to use
it, it's just clearer to use it.
"um comentário em um blog que descreve"
It's the remark that describes something: eu descrevo, ele descreve, but maybe
it's just a typo.

"...no artigo da Wikipédia" = at the article from Wikipedia, at Wikipedia's
article.
"Ele me faz lembrar
"Só por esse motivo, já quero visitá-lo"
"da beleza de Kauai"
"parece ter o mesmo" it sounds ok to use "o mesmo" in this case, just a little more
bookish. You could either repeat "parece ter a mesma beleza" or say "parece ter a mesma
coisa" or use a synonim for "beleza", like, "parece ter a mesma exuberância", "parece
ter a mesma riqueza" (well, not a synonym, but you get the point). I'd go for a synonym,
no matter how mind-boggling it would be to find one, because when writing in Brazil
you're supposed to avoid repetition at any costs, cruel but true. Other than that, it's
ok what you wrote and this advice is more to the point of style.

Wow, I'm rusty. Other than a bit of chatting on sharedtalk, I haven't written in Portuguese since September. You know you need to reconnect with the language when you can't think of the word "quando"... Thanks for this challenge, I needed something to get me back into writing.

I understand the point about going for a synonym. It's the same in English; too much repetition is frowned upon.
Thank you for the corrections, as always!

Sorry for being slow to the party! I've been without a computer (and still am in a way), but I've finally created a
log :)

Very well, WoofCreature! You managed to express complex thoughts. The official names of
the Brazilian regions are capitalized. So, when you say "o Nordeste" you actually mean
the Brazilian region, not an ordinary colateral point.
