Here's mine. I read my intro with the combined corrections of Ogrim and someone on lang8. Hopefully I didn't create any new errors when combining them. I tried to read it in as much of a Bergen dialect as I could, so I read "jeg" as "eg", "ikke" as "isje", and "mars" as "mars" rather than "marsj". My "e"s are pronounced quite Oslo-esque though; they're pronounced more like "a"s in the Bergen dialect. It was a bit difficult though, as I've been getting a lot more Oslo dialect exposure lately than I usually do. Here's what I read, in case some parts are completely unintelligible. Hei hei, jeg heter Nicole. Jeg er født og oppvokst i Canada. Jeg startet å lære norsk i mars i fjor og det er mitt tredje fremmedspråk. Min favorittdialekt er bergensk på grunn av skarre-r, mangelen på hunnkjønn, og prosodien. Jeg drar på utveksling neste skoleår. Jeg håper at jeg får dra til Norge, men det er ikke bestemt hvilket land jeg får reise til. Selv om jeg ikke kommer til Norge, er jeg motivert til å lære mer norsk i år. Basically yes. There is some degree of vowel reduction in Norwegian as well, especially final -e, but it is not as marked as I believe it is in Portuguese. And when you have two vowels together which do not form a diphthong, you need to pronounce both of them clearly. 2 persons have voted this message useful | |||
