Well, then 30 hours of Swedish could probably be my goal: it’s supposed to be a bit of a challenge, isn’t it? |

Hey guys! How’s February gone for you? For me it was a total failure! I didn’t even come close to the 30 hours of Swedish I was aiming for. I hope your month went more smoothly and more productively than mine.

I’ve updated the Team Challenge post on the first page of this log with all those who’ve taken part in this month’s challenge so far. For those who haven’t done it yet, there’s still a couple of days to post your entries, so, come on! Let us know what your favourite word in Swedish/Danish/Norwegian is!

Thanks for the reminder, Emme! I'll write a February summary in a day or two.

I like many Norwegian words. One of my favorites is "lekker". This can be translated as "delicious" but also as "nice". In German we have the same word but here it only means "delicious". For me it sounds funny when I read something like "en lekker datamaskin" (a nice computer) because I always associate this with taste.

As I wrote a couple of days ago I’ve completely neglected Swedish this month, so much so that I’ve only just realized that there’s a 2-part TV-movie up at SVTPlay.
Luckily we still have a couple of weeks to watch it (until 18 March 2014), so no great damage was done.
Ettor & nollor – del 1 1h 28min
Ettor & nollor – del 2 1h 29min
We are probably all adults here, but just to be on the safe side, be aware that the content of the movie is not suitable for younger or sensitive audiences.

If the team is still taking entries, I would love to join, and will make a log accordingly. Meanwhile, I'll offer:

We decided back in January to keep the team open to newcomers, so welcome on board. Since your post was mainly in Swedish I’ll put you down as a Swedish learner in our team roster, but if you’re also “officially” learning Norwegian, Danish, and Icelandic that’s no problem, just let me know and I’ll add the relevant information.
One more thing: all TACers need to keep a log to chronicle their linguistic journey and share their successes and difficulties with their teammates. So let us know where we can follow your progress as soon as you start a log and I’ll add a link to it on the first post of this thread.

Thanks :) "Officially" studying Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish. I'll be logging what I do in each of these. It occurs to me this means I should probably do the monthly tasks in all three too. I'll do them in all three henceforth :)
As for a log, I'll make one tomorrow and advise of the link.

Great! I was looking at SVTplay earlier today but everything that looked particularly fun was "Kan endast ses i Sverige". Pity I don't like sport shows or daytime TV, since there is plenty of that. Glad for the pointer on this one though; looks promising from the description. It had me at "brinnande kroppsdelar" :)
