@daegga: well done! I especially liked the "they didn't bloody whine". Btw. the text reminds me of a certain Monty Python sketch, where the characters compare their memories of the bad old days, where you worked more than 24 hours in a day etc.

Tonight at 21.05 on the free-to-air TV-channel Top Crime, they begin broadcasting the Swedish series Wallander. Top Crime usually offers the possibility to listen to the original audio, so there’s the chance we may be able to follow the series in Swedish. |

Damn it...I saw your post too late. I do know the series, though. I already watched the English version and I'm quite sure I also have one of the two Swedish versions...somewhere in my DVD collection -.- I think I recorded it a while ago from one of Sky Cinema channels, but it was dubbed if I recall correctly.
Luckily Top Crime will have a rerun so I'll make sure not to miss it this time!

According to their website the rerun is tonight at 22:51. And once again I’m probably late posting this to be of any use to you :-( but I’ve had a lot of problems logging in today.
PS. I watched it last night and I there was the Swedish audio :-)

We often say that Norwegians do not swear much. There is one notable exception, which is people from the
North of Norway. They are actually allowed to use fouler language with the Police for instance than people
from the South without getting in trouble for it - court cases have established as much.
This very drunk guy from Lofoten in the North of Norway was stopped by the Police for being drunk and
disorderly, and the rest is history :-) I was actually a little bit disappointed. People from the North are known
not only for their colorful language, but also for their imaginative and creative use of the language - I thought
this one was a tad unimaginative, but in his defense he was so drunk that they had to take him to the hospital
first to see if he was well enough to be put in a jail cell. Oh. And he does actually swear even more than the
translation indicates :-)
Colorful language

I watched it too, but it was sadly a bit too difficult for my current level of Swedish :(

So, what about April's challenge? We're a week into April now.
What do people prefer?
If ideas are needed, we can borrow from another team's list from last year.
