Hello everyone, I just signed up for Italian! And, this is my first post
on HTLAL!
I took a test at Italian-test.com and was somewhat surprised I didn't make A2, even
though I've only been studying a few months. Somehow I thought speaking French fluently
and having an intermediate level of Spanish would have automatically put me in a high
beginner/low intermediate level in Italian. It's strange to be able to listen to an
audiobook like Cuore and understand 80%, but not be able to pass into A2 or B1 on the
language test. I'd better start studying.. ;) |

Vorrei spezzare una lancia in tuo favore.
I did the A1 test and I put 3 wrong answers. And I'm Italian! Some of the question can
take more than 1 correct result and can be tricky to understand what does it want.
I'm quite sure you're good with Italian ;)

Same here with the A1. Some questions have several correct answers (dobbiamo, devi, devo andare a scuola), and some none at all (the allegedly correct answer has a capital letter in the middle of the sentence).
I don't think the test has any kind of legitimacy.

Sorry for my question,
but how can I know that the bot registered me successfully and takes into account my tweets?

If you wrote it correctly, the bot will reply to your tweets with a confirmation within 5
minutes.

it's not replying to me, it didn't reply also today. I tried different times to register, I put an update, I also tried an
undo, I got silence for each action. I'm following the instructions of the link in first page... How can I know that is
taking into account my tweets? There is a way to make a query? :D
anyway, I wrote this:
@6WCBot #register #Persian for February. #HTLAL user

Just reminding y'all about two things:
-the bot finds all units of time and all tags in what you tweet @ it. unlike the tadoku bot, you can't set it to ignore them. change them into a format that doesn't count and don't use unrelated hashtags. (remove the space and/or use a one-letter abbreviation: 20min, 20 m, 20m. or use the word in a different language!)
-if you retweet someone, be sure to unformat it or #undo your update.
Specific example:
Cristina tweeted
Quote:
@6WCBot 20 minutes #Russian #Tv Why must a 2 hour program on Russia have so little Russian in it :-( |
|
|
I retweeted this, adding that it's a crime against language learners.
I got credited with 140 min of Russian, which I of course undid.
@tristano, if your account is private, you need to make it public until you are registered.

Hi @Serpent,
thank you very much for your answer!
Indeed I discovered that the main reason is that my tweets were protected and the bot was
unable to see them. Now it works!

Does this mean that I am currently registered with 2 hours more Russian than I should? Is it possible to do
the
extra 2 hours and just tweet that they are done in order to avoid having to undo it? I have had a busy
morning. It looks like I am going to have an even busier afternoon to catch up.
