I'll let you know when those videos are ready:)
Maybe you can think about changinig the approach, it's all about attitude:) but I've also been there and I didn't
have any will to study but I've changed my standpoint and I'm totally enjoying learning Norwegian :))

Thanks! I'll keep an eye on it and you should also update your log to remind us ^^

In fact I'm enjoying it a lot!! I'm only spending 30 min a day on Norwegian, so, that's one more reason I'm going slowly (excluding Anki - Anki in fact is being quite helpful with 3 decks mostly with sentences). I'm just so anxious about actually starting to speak Norwegian that even this textbook I enjoy is being a small torture =D

Hello Vikings! I've been staying away from HTLAL for the past few months to concentrate on my coursework. I dare say it was a good decision, though as a result I haven't made as much progress on the language front.

A lot of days I just read about 30 minutes in Swedish or German before bed. More recently, after discovering Radio 24Syv, I've also been listening to some Danish again (Ibens is a favorite). These radio programs feature natural conversations, which are more predictable and offer more context than TV dramas, and are less vocabulary intensive than the news. Excellent for my particular situation, in other words.

My biggest regret is that I've been neglecting German too much. I still haven't finished the third Brent Weeks book, Jenseits der Schatten, so that's step 1, and next I'm planning to read either something by Stefan Witzek or the German translation of Brandon Sanderson's Elantris.

I doubt I'll be logging on much in the near future—this forum is REALLY bad for my productivity—but I wish everyone on Team Viking continued success with their language studies. Have a great summer everyone!

Hej, fellow Vikings!

For all of us interested in film and TV-series in Swedish, I think it’s time for an update on what we can watch on SVTPlay.

SVT has just started publishing online the 6-episode series Skärgårdsdoktorn from 1997. Each episode lasts about 55 minutes. Right now only the first episode, which was broadcast earlier today, is online; the others will be posted in the coming weeks.

I’d like to remind the Vikings who are learning Danish, that on SVTPlay you can watch the third season of the critically-acclaimed series Borgen in Danish with Swedish subtitles.

So here’s a short recap of what’s available (I also include a couple of theatre works shown in the section “Veckans föreställning”).

Othello på Romateatern: Shakespeare’s Othello in Swedish – 2h 8 min (available until 3 June 2013).

Ett nytt kapitel: 28-min. short film (available until 19 June 2013).

Bastian: 14-episode webseries (available until 20 June 2013).

De ostämda: 58-minutes film (available until 22 June 2013).

Fadern - Fadern: based on Strindberg’s drama – 1h 34min (available until 21 July 2013).

Skärgårdsdoktorn: 6-part TV-series (available until 28 July 2013).

Anyone could do the same for Norwegian? =D

I just heard about the Norwegian series Dag. The first episode has subtitles in English on YT.

Det finnes dessverre ikke så mange serier på norsk.

I suggest you search the net for Norwegian horror movies. Fritt vilt 1-3, Rovdyr, Død snø, ...

Thanks, Emme! I just started watching the first two seasons of Borgen again and was wondering how long I'd have to wait to see the third.

Edit: It looks like the first three episodes of the third season are already gone. Do you think they'll show them again?
