I've decided to revise my "complete the Korean Essential Vocabulary 6000" goal. While I would still like to reach that goal, it's simply not feasible to set short term targets for it, since I don't know how many words actually remain. So instead I'm going for the conservative target of 2000 new SRS facts (38.5/week) regardless of whether they are in the KEV6000 list or not. If I have words already queued from other sources, I'll add those to the SRS. Otherwise, I'll continue to work my way through the KEV list. Yes, I could easily do more words per week than than that, but I want to set a goal that I reasonably think I can maintain for the entire year. I also plan to make that the minimum weekly goal, not an average weekly goal. If I take out most or all of the remaining KEV6000 in the process, great. If not, I'll at least make a sizable dent.

If you're still accepting new members, I would like to join your team. My main focus is Japanese (with a plan to go from 0 to N5). I will likely dabble in both Thai and Vietnamese at some point during the year.
Currently I am using Living Language Complete Japanese (not the more in-depth, out-of-print Ultimate Japanese) and Japanese for Busy People I. I also started using Barron's Mastering Japanese yesterday for additional pronunciation practice. I'll start a log with more details within the next two days.
I don't have resources for Thai or Vietnamese yet, except for the free FSI courses, which I have not really looked at.
Go Team 龍!

I assume you meant to put "Korean, Japanese" here? I can't recall seeing CZ mention Vietnamese before...hehe

Right, I've been seeing too much Vietnamese lately :) I've corrected the first post.

Using petrklic's suggestion, I created my very own youtube account and uploaded my first video!
This is a language unknown to me; none of my colleagues can figure out what it is. Let's see who can crack it.
It's definitely not Mandarin or Cantonese. It's not Taishanese. It may be Thai, Hakka, Minnanese, Korean, or Vietnamese.
The best guess is that it's an East Asian language. But which one?

By the way, it's very inspiring to read all of the team's logs. Good luck in Week 2!
What language is this?
