Nope. None are old enough to have expired copyrights.
Copyright terms are currently far too long, and keep being extended retroactively. |

Agreed, it's ridiculous! The book was published in France in 1951, and is copyrighted to Alphonse Chérel, the founder of the company. Tried doing a Google search, and could only find out that he was born in 1882, but not when he died? EU copyright terms are 70 years after the death of the author... so perhaps the book will enter public domain in another 10-15 years... :S
If I don't succeed in digging up a copy of the recordings somewhere, I'll ask two of my Russian friends to read out the lessons, and stick it all in a torrent! Shady legal status, perhaps, but no big deal at all compared to the rest of the stuff being pirated on the net! It would be for purely educational and entirely non-commercial purposes, after all ;)

Yes!! My life is now complete! I'm going to wait a year before I start Russian in college because I need to work more on Icelandic. This will compliment my pursuit on obtaining fluency in all the major arctic languages

If anyone has ordered it yet: how far along would this book take you, especially if combined with some Pimsleur and Michel Thomas? That combo with Romance and Germanic languages can take you to the cusp of B-1, but does this work for Russian too? Or does it take a lot more resources to reach that level?

Too late...already learned French and finished "Le Russe" ; the book is brilliant btw. I
truly enjoyed the new book's progressive nature. The author is a young and brilliant
instructor.
