Another day, me again...

kleverig en taai
bedroefd en triest

enkel, makkelijk en simpelweg

The last once don't seem to be the same, but can you give me some examples how and when to use them?

Best,
Georgi

Kleverig means sticky, like honey. Taai means tough, like meat can be tough.
Bedroefd and triest mean pretty much the same thing, at least I can't think of a difference.

Makkelijk means easy or easily, simpelweg means simply (simpel + weg). Enkel means only but alleen means the same thing and is more common.

Can you give me example sentences for the last three.
We have the same word (words) for the English equivalents...

Makkelijk:

Die toets was super makkelijk. Ik weet zeker dat ik een goed cijfer heb.
Je kunt tegenwoordig heel makkelijk spullen op het internet bestellen. (Note that makkelijk is an adverb here. If it were an adjective it would have to be makkelijke)

Enkel:

Ik heb enkel de deur dicht gedaan. Het raam heb ik open gelaten. (but alleen would be more common to say, enkel sounds a bit dated)
Je hoeft enkel en alleen (idiom) maar een pak melk te halen. De rest van de boodschappen heb ik al gedaan.

Simpelweg:

Simpelweg de beste. :)
Ze is simpelweg te lui om haar huiswerk te maken.

I hope that was useful. I'm really bad at coming up with good example sentences.

I think there is a difference:
- situations and people can be triest (once saddening, then sad)
- only people can be bedroefd
No, ReneeMona?

For something more general, Cherufe: how do you get to these pairs and trios? They are fairly interesting for foreign learners of Dutch. Some I had thought of already, but not many. Do they refer to 'inclusive' words in Bulgarian?
