I've already been to all the continents except Antarctica and Australia. While I would
like to see much more of the world, unless you're rich then you have to choose. There
can be more to see in a single city than in an entire country or continent. I haven't
had enough of Europe yet and I want to go and live there for 10 years when I'm in my 50s
so I`ll say:
1.French - Worth learning for a single Parisian neighborhood
2.German - Bavaria and the Rhine Valley
3.Spanish - Barcelona, Madrid, Sevilla
4.Italian - Entire boot
5.English - British Isles, Scandinavia, Benelux, Eastern Europe and anywhere outside
Europe where they don`t speak any of the first 4 languages on my list.

I'd choose languages of countries of which I love the cuisine. It would allow me to go
to restaurants that are mostly frequented by locals and don't have bilingual menus.
Maybe I could also get tips for eating out and learn recipes from locals. I still
remember the student exchange with Italy as the culinary highlight of my life and now
regret that I didn't ask my hosts if they would mind to share the recipes. Last not
least, I could buy cookery books in those languages. I suspect there are lots of gems
out there waiting to be discovered.
My five would be:
1. French (France, North Africa)
2. Italian
3. Spanish (Spain, most of South America)
4. Japanese
5. Hindi
Any similarities with my actual language list are pure coincidence. :D

The five languages are:
English
Spanish
Arabic
Russian
Mandarin / Hindi / Indonesian / French
The last language is difficult to pick as they are of "communicating language" in
different parts of the world.

English. It is the global language. Spoken in North America, UK, some African countries, India and Australasia.
Spanish. It is spoken in Spain, Mexico, second language in USA, Central America, South America, some African countries, minorities in Philippines.
Arabic. North Africa, Middle East
Chinese. China, Taiwan, Singapore
Russian. Former USSR
I think that If you speak all of them, you can travel around the World. I speak 4 of them (Chinese is too hard). So, I am a lucky man.
