Unit 45 complete a few days ago. Working on Unit 46. Has anyone noticed that Unit 46 seems short? Or maybe I didn't dowloand all of the files. Any thoughts on this?

Unit 46 complete. Going to give it one more listen through. I feel that as I am so very close to the end, I am not rushed to finish the course. In fact, I want to work on each unit to the point of perfection, because I will not be returning back to a course once I'm finished. I ought to really give it a thorough study.
I've heard that Unit 47 and 48 are beasts because of the length of the audio build up and the introduction of the imperfect subjunctive. I do have some experience in this as I took Spanish grammar in college (6 years ago), so I have the advantage of at least seeing the verbs conjugated this way. Also, I am doing this for the Lord, so He has been blessing it. The whole reason I've been learning this lanuage is to be able to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with Spanish speakers. I'm working through Unit 47, piece by piece. I have the conversation portion down even when it's played full speed. I read through the conversation 10 times and worked through the buildup about 5 times. Then I listened to the fluency part about 6-7 times over a week's time. I've moved on from that and am currently working on the next drill and grammar portion as well as the subsitution drill section. I then plan on completing what's left as a separate unit. Unit 48 complete. Praise Jesus.
You know, I could rush through a unit and speed through this course, but what would that cost me in wasted time a year from now in advanced grammar studies? It would slow me down and actually impeed progress. To all who may read this after I finish the FSI course; go slow, take your time, do the lessons again and again. It may get old and might be discouraging, but once you're done, you'll have a deep grasp on the grammar constructions which will pay off in the future. The deeper and stronger the foundation, the bigger the house you can build. The shabbier the foundation, the more problems down the road. Now on to Unit 49.
