I used to read Hebrew in Hebrew school, and since my rabbi was Israeli, he told our teachers to structure the
curriculum so it would be biblical Hebrew (for comprehension), and Israeli Hebrew/Modern Hebrew (for
conversation, etc), so everyone learned to speak with a relatively good Israeli accent (all our teachers are Israeli as
well) in both biblical and modern, so I'm more than happy to hear your attempt.
I could understand most of what you were saying, which means that your pronunciation is actually not bad. I'm not
going to talk about accent, ect. because no one cares about an accent when pronouncing biblical Hebrew. It was
cool though, because I haven't spoken or heard either ancient or modern forms for a couple of years. I read the text
along with you, and I realized how much my reading of the abjad has suffered. Did you read that from the original
Hebrew text or the transliteration? Because if you did from the text, I applaud you. I always stumbled, even when
reading modern Hebrew.

I practiced it a few times before I read it and my memory is good so I mostly had it memorized.

As far as being able to read the Hebrew text, I find I can read the words I am familiar with but I have to look at the transliteration for words I don't know. For example, all of verse 1 I could read since I know all those words but verse 2 was more difficult, especially the phrase ויברך אתם ויקרא. I had to look at the transliteration for that (I use an interlinear text).
