Teta moj je na 1970'i kupio ovaj tecaj iz 'Linguaphone', sa gramofoskim plocima :-) Sada probam uciti 'nasi jezik' preko puta internetom, televizije, i tako dalje. Mozde da pocinem na BHS (Bosanski, Hrvatski, Srpski) na sveucilistu u Oslou. I meni se svida odmoritise na Hrvatskoj obalu, od Rijece do Dubrovnike. I hope someone can help me out. I'm currently using Teach Yourself Serbo-Croat/Croatian. In chapter 8 (Kakav stan imate) there's a conversation revolving about at what time a teacher is at work and when breaks are held. Somewhere, I seem to misunderstand.
To begin with, the text at hand is as such: M: Imate li pauzu? S: Imamo pauzu prije podne. Ta pauza traje dvadeset minuta. Imamo i pauzu za ručak. Poslije ručka škola počinje u jedan i petnaest. Kao i prije podne, učenici imaju četiri sata sa pauzom poslije drugog sata. It is the underlined text that I have problems understanding. As far as I can comprehend, it means: We have a break before noon. That break lasts for twenty minutes. We also have a break for (eating) lunch. After lunch, the school starts at quarter past one. Also like before noon, the students have 'four hours of break' after the second hour. Now, if this actually is correct, when do the students have this 4 hour long break?! And when is this 'second hour'. Are they talking about a teaching hour or are they talking about two o'clock? This was kinda confusing sentence to be written in Serbocroatian.
