Phuh..
Finished Babbel German Flashcard app with 3000 cards. Removing doubles it will be about 2800 cards.
This is second time I do this. First time went to quickly, the backlog of repetition was to big. I didn't remember the words, taking to much time so I just deleted all the cards.
This time it went much easier, make me wonder why:
1. Because its second time I do this?
2. Because this time I have 25-30 hours LR L2/L2 under my belt?
The first 800 cards was learned nice and easy. The rest I took between Christmas and now.
Even skipped repetitions the last few days, so I could finish the cards.
Ok, So I have 1568 reps waiting for meg now. But I'm not demotivated.
Knowing that words I struggled with before now have sinken in, like:
das Versorgungsunternehmen
die Geschwindigkeitsbeschränkung
I let you know then I'm up to date with the repetitions:-)

You know you can just "cut" those words right? Just like they have been made.

Still struggle a bit with the flashcards repetitions :-)
Soon I will travel aboard, with little or no internet, so I will probably not update my log until middle of February.

Thanks Jinx.
I'm now in Cancun, Mexico
And I have free internet in my rom, thats good or else it would cost me a lot of money.
I'm now up to date with the German flashcards repetitions.
It only took me 29 hours and 8 minutes over five days according to my loggging software :-)
So rest of the day I'm relaxing and drinking some beers.
German:
I will continue with LR, I'm halfway throught It (German: Es) by Stephen King.
French:
I got my replacement set: Assimil New French With Easy in my mail before I left for Mexico. So I have it with me.
I already have truncated the mp3 files, saves a lot of times.
I was up to lesson 30 or so in passive wave before I dropped it before Christmas.
Now I'm toying with the idea of making an ebook of it with linear text.
Making it beachfriendly and do LR on it.
Dabbling in Spanish:
Tempting, trying not to.
But who knows?

German:
Started with LR again, but with another book I have in Norwegian and German.
"It" by Stephen King is on hold.
Second time I try LR with L1/L2. This time it is working smoothly.
Reading Norwegian, listen to German and most importantly I'm enjoying the story in the book. In fact it is quite relaxing.
French:
After finishing German flashcards, I feel I have a black belt in the art of flashcards.
So now I'm increasing the French vocabulary.
Listening to Assimil mp3's while I'm walking.
Dabbling in Spanish:
Still resisting.

German:
Finished the book 16 hours LR L1/L2
Next, same book LR L2/L2, after that not sure. I think I will reread about LR, its a bit confusing.
Flashcards, up to date with the repetitions. Varies between 100 and 600 repetitions each day.
French:
I took me two days to refresh 300 flashcards I had learned before.
Now I have 600 flashcards and up to date with repetitions.
For immersion I changed from Assimil mp3's to Slow News In French. Nice voices, relaxing to listen to.
Spanish:
Refreshed 130 flashcards and up to date with repetitions.

Hey Bjorn,
Great hours you are putting in there with L-R. Do you find it's making a difference for
your level yet? There are plenty of people here who can guide you if you have any
questions regarding Listen-Reading. I myself can't wait to try L-R in German.
Me personally I stopped L-Ring books more then once. I read Madame Bovary 3 times...total
madness. I think big chunky books are good though as you save yourself the chopping and
changing of smaller books. I read Count of Monte Cristo which was about 50-60 hours. It
must have done wonders for me...I hope.
