Back from Mexico and quite happy with my studies. I have convertet beachtime and shoppingtrips to studytime :-)

German:

Started second round with LR L2/L2.
Read a bit about LR, still a bit confused. But I will do third round LR L1/L2.
After that I will do an evaluation.

French
650 flashcards, and up to date with repetition.
Now I'm back home I will restart the Assimil French.

ReQuest: Mostly English I'm afraid. And a few words in Spanish, like cerveza, por favor :-) Hola, Gracias. Not much need for Spanish really. Mostly american tourists at the hotel. I met no Germans, so no practise in German either.

No studies yesterday. I was tired and got a headache. So instead I was reading and watching video about LR and shadowing. I think I have a clearer picture of it now.

So now I'm thinking about how I will continue further with my studies.

Spanky: You are right.

My headache gone now, time to start studying again.

So my little plan is something like this:

German
Continue with LR books
Using Assimil German for blind shadowing, time for some talk in German now.
Already truncated the mp3-files. A few rounds with LR then blind shadowing while I'm walking. I hope it will work out fine.

How to truncate mp-3 files wiht Audacity

Flash cards: not sure yet if I should expand it now or wait a bit. Been looking at supermemo.net . At intermediate level it is only in German, that is good. And you can syncronice between iPhone and web.

French
Time to restart Assimil French but this time I will do LR on it. Don't have patience to do the normal Assimil routine. Next will be translating from L1 to L2, and then shadowing.

I have listen a lot to
News in Slow French
I found it very useful to grasp the sounds in French.

I will continue with Babbel flashcards and expand it slowly.

Dabbling English
My speaking skills is a bit rusty, so I want to refresh it a bit.
Since I'm going for British English I have found these sites useful:

Luke's English Podcast
Learning British Accent

Of course I need to be better in writing also, but that have to wait.

Ah well, back to studies now.
First thing first, and that is to be up to date with flashcards repetition :-)

I got a flu, so not much studying now.

I bought supermemo.net flashcards for Iphone. It was on sale, however I did'nt buy the webversion, a bit expensive.

So I bought English, German, French and Spanish.
My better half have decided to learn Spanish, so I believe I have to learn it also sometime in the future.

The supermemo flashcards are monolingual, English-english etc. Use sentence to explain concepts like a monolingual dictionary.
I think it will be usefull, nothing for newbies. But for intermediate and advanced it will work fine. At least I hope so :-)

Flahscards is not my main strategy , but useful for utilising dead moments.

I'm better now, the flu was a heavy one. So now I'm starting up slowly with the language studies again.

Dabbling in Vietnamese
It's confirmed now that the family is going to Vietnam this summer. Therefore I will start dabbling in Vietnamese. Since it's a tonal language and not so many sources available, I decided to take online lesson with a teacher. I'm most worried about prononciation. So next week I will have a trial lesson to see if this is something for me.

German
Will continue LR, flashcards and start up shadowing.

Here is a nice podcast about German Grammar explained in British English:
German Grammar Pod

French
Since I will start up with Vietnamese, I have to change again. So now I will restart Assimil French and using ordinary Assimil method. I don't have time to LR two languages now since I'm starting up Vietnamese. And Flashcards of course.

Dabbling in English:
Flashcards from supermemo.net, I will refresh English words a bit. I got a little interference from German and French. The flashcards has audio with British English.

For shadowing I preparing the English from Busuu.

Dabbling in Greek
Just a little bit in case I'm going to Greece this year. Not sure yet.

Dabbling Vietnamese
I had a trial lesson online via Skype. It worked fine with both audio and video. So now I will have one lesson a week. It will be southern dialect.

In a few months I will evaluate and see if I will continue or drop Vietnamese.
This language is over my head and therefore I'm glad that I went for a teacher.

German
After the flu I was tired and energi was low so I didn't start up with LR.
Instead I started to use Busuu. So far I have finished Travel Course and courses A1, A2 and B1. And I have done 18 prosent of the B2 course
My strong skills in German is vocabulary, listening and reading.
My weak points is sentence construction, writing and speaking.

French
Change of plans again :-)
I'm going to LR Green Ray by Jules Verne as a part of teamwork in the group Team Freutsch TAC 2012. Problem is that my French knowledge is very low, so as an experiment I will LR Assimil French for 2 weeks and then trying to LR Green Ray.
So Mars will be a French month.
