Onme more successful day. I could understand today's paragraph at the Newspaper Reader better than in the previous days. I really hope this means I'm starting to get used to the word order. I think I need a similar book for German!

As for Aronson's, I could finish Lesson 4 today. It's the final one for which I had already written down exercises, so I didn't do that again. This also means that tomorrow I'm finally getting my hands on brand new information! Can't wait til that!
I'm starting to figure out how conditional, imperfect and the subjunctives are formed and how to distinguish among then, though I'd still have liked it better if any of them were introduced separately with a lot of living, contextualized examples.

I'm slowly getting used to reading backwards and meeting up the verb at the end of the sentence. I think Georgian is going to help me with German! At the first period I still had to read the whole translation to get the meaning, but as for the 2nd I could figure out a bit just with the glossary. Reading news is not that simple in any languages, unless we're talking of a closely related language at which even the journalistic calques are cognate (Spanish and French in my case).

I survived the 50 exercises of Aronson's lesson 5. I was surprised to see there was an extra reading after that, and even more surprised when I started reading the previous note. Aronson explains so didactically how to read Georgian effectively. I wish all textbooks were like this! I'm still scared about the text that will come, because I'm not sure it has a translation at the back of the book, but I feel much more confident now.

სიკვდილ მანქანა = dead machine
ჩემი შვილის მკვლელის ლევან მენთეშვილის ადვოკატე სააკაშვილო და ზოდელავა წადით = My son's murderer Levan Menteshvili's lawyer and the president, go away!

ცოცხებს თურმე ინსტრუქციაც სჭირდება = Is the broom's instruction necessary?
სისტემა ყარს = preliminary sistem
გააშუქე სიმართლე = it covers the truth

That's what I could get, I don't know the context.

==================
Btw, today I got Le Petit Prince in Georgian!! Might be my first book, maybe early next year.

Maybe we can teach each other Tatar and Georgian one day =D

One more news story and I start to get used to Georgian's left branching. It's not recommended for anxious people, because you have to wait till the end of the period to figure out who the subject is; everything that comes previously are attributes. Cases start to make sense as well.

I just finished the exercises of Lesson 6. I only wrote down a few sentences because I had to get used to their specific wording. I'm most likely leaving the reading for monday, like I did lesson 5's reading today. I'm not that much happy with the idea of reading those long texts with no translations, but I feel more confident now that I've analized different aspects of the grammar and I'm getting used to the word order.
