Then the person on the other end would try to get us to calm down and talk us out of buying any more of these books. LOL :p

Oh, no! I'd never want that. :D
I'd prefer them to reassure me that language books are way more important than worldly stuff like clothes or putting money aside. ;)

Lots of book lovers here, nothing to be ashamed of! Actually, I'm kind of suspicious of people who don't have a book collection.

There are place on the internet to get a book fix without actually purchasing any if you are a little short of money or storage space at the time:

It's OK to look . . . but only if you are mature enough for this kind of graphic bookshelf display

Seems like a shame to give language books to the Salvation Army, who can't make use of
many of them. There should be a foundation for book-starved HTLALers. Berlin at least has
several bookstores specializing in used language books, which receive regular donations
from me (not as many as I buy from them though... o_O).

I wouldn't call myself suspicious of them, but I do feel that there's something lacking
in their lives!!!;)

I am also a language book hoarder :( I have so many! But I hate getting rid of them because whenever I get rid of a book I always find a use for it later.
