היום ראיתי את "מונית הכסף". הייתה אישה נורא חכמה שידעה כמעט את כל התשובות, והיא זכתה
ב16,000 שקל! נראה לי שנהג התאהב בה קצת...אז עכשיו אני שומעת שיר של עפרה חזה "שיבולת בשדה". בתוכנית הייתה שאלה לגבי השיר הזה. זה שיר נחמד, אני מאוד אוהבת את עפרה חזה. :) תרגום: Today I watched the Cash Cab (the Israeli version). There was a very smart woman who knew almost all the answers, and she won 16,000 shekels! I think the driver fell in love with her a little...So, now I am listening to the song "Shibolet Basade" by Ofra Haza. On the show there was a question about that song. I just found out, if you translate the diaspora version of the Hanukkah song, "Sevivon

I just went back in time (i.e. to an old website that no one uses anymore) and found one
of the first things I ever wrote in Hebrew. It was in December 2008. It was not as horrible as I remember it being! Although I wrote it with (a lot) of aid from dictionary, so I used words that are not very common. I used a couple that I don't even know right now...I bet I sounded awfully strange! I just found somethig I wrote in a notebook a couple months ago. I found it amusing so I'll post it here. It's
about Georgia (the country), since I'm learning Georgian. I added and changed some things because i felt like it. Enjoy. :) גרוזיה בגרוזיה אוכלים אוכל טעים. למשל, הם אוכלים חצ׳אפורי, שזה לחם עם גבינה, ביצה וחמאה. הם גם אוהבים לאכול הרבה אגוזים. יש מנה שנקראת סציבי, שזה עוף עם אגוזים. חינקלי זה סוג של כופתאות. הם אוהבים לשתות בירה ויין. הם מאוד גאים ביין שלם. יש להם משקה שקוראים לו ״צ׳אצ׳א״. ממה שאני מבינה, זה כמעט כמו ערק, אבל אני לא בטחה כי אף פעם לא טעמתי. עובדה מעניינת: ״ערק" בגרוזינית זה לא ערק, אך וודקה! הרבה ישראלים חושבים שהגרוזינים הם מוזרים, אבל זה ממש לא נכון! יש אפילו אנשים שסוברים שהם חייזרים מהחלל (ברציניות), כי בשפה שלהם ״מאמא״ זה אבא. לדעתי, הם לא מוזרים, רק מיוחדים ומעניינים. נ.ב. באמת ראיתם אי פעם גרוזיני עם ראש מרובע? גם אני לא. ;) Translation: In Georgia they eat delicious food. For example, they eat khachapuri, which is bread with cheese, an egg, and butter. They like to eat a lot of walnuts. There is a dish called satsivi, which is chicken with nuts. Khinkali is a type of dumplings. They like to drink beer and wine. They are very proud of their wine. They have a drink called chacha. I think it is almost like araq, but I'm not sure because i have never tasted it. Interesting fact: "araq" in Georgian is not araq, but vodka! Many Israelis think that Georgian people are weird, but it's not true at all! There are even people who claim they are aliens from outer space (seriously), because in their language "mama" means father. In my opinion, they are not weird, but unique and interesting! P.S. Have you ever actually seen a georgian with a square head? Neither have I. ;) (I'm sure you won't get this if you are not Israeli...haha). כשאני עצובה, אני אוהבת לכתוב בעברית, כי חוץ מספרדית (ואנגלית כמובן), זו השפה שאני יודעת
הכי טוב מכולן. נראה לי שאף אחד לא יקרא את זה, אבל אני רוצה לספר את הסיפור שלי. אני ממש ביישנית. בעצם, זה יותר מביישנות, יש לי בעיה עם חרדה חברתית. כשהייתי קטנה היו לי הרבה חברים טובים כי למדתי בבית ספר כל כך מהמם ומיוחד (אבל זה סיפור אחר). אבל כשעליתי לבית ספר התיכון, היה לי ממש קשה, כי זה היה כל כך שונה ממה שהייתי רגילה אליו. בגלל זה, כבר לא אהבתי להיות עם אנשים, ולכן לא היו לי הרבה חברים. אני בעצם לא יצאתי עם חברים בכלל, אני רק דיברתי איתם בבית ספר והלכתי הביתה. בזמן הפסקת הצהריים, ישבתי לבד בספריה ועשיתי את שיעורי הבית שלי כי לא אהבתי לעשות אותם בבית. לפני כחודש, החלטתי לשנות את החיים שלי ולהתחיל למצוא חברים. מצאתי אחד, אבל זה סיוט כי הוא בן והוא מחבב אותי, והוא ביקש ממני לצאת איתו לדייט. זו הייתה הפעם הראשונה שזה קרה לי, אז בכלל לא ידעתי מה לעשות. אז, כמובן, עניתי באופן ממש טיפש והוא נעלב, ואני ממש בילבלתי אותו...זה קשה להסביר בדיוק מה שקרה, אבל זה לא חשוב. מה שחשוב, זה שטעיתי. ניסיתי להסביר לו שיש לי בעיה, והוא מבין, אבל אני עדיין מפחדת לראות אותו שוב. אין לי ברירה, כי הוא לומד איתי באוניברסיטה. אבל לא נורא. הוא נחמד והכל יהיה בסדר, אבל אני רק רוצה לברוח מזה לתמיד...ולהתחיל מחדש. אני כבר לא רוצה להיות פה. ולא רק בגלל מה שקרה. פשוט נמאס לי להיות כאן. אני לא אוהבת ללמוד באוניברסיטה שלי, אני פשוט צריכה ללכת למקום אחר: כדי לחשוב, כדי למצוא את עצמי, כדי לעשות משהו חדש...אני לא עושה שום דבר פה, כי אני לא יודעת מה לעשות. כשאני נוסעת אני תמיד עושה דברים חדשים. כשאני לא בבית אני נאלצת לעשות דברים מעניינים. אני רוצה לברוח לישראל. יש לי שם חברים טובים, ואני מרגישה שזה הבית השני שלי. כשאני שם כל כך רגוע לי בלב, אני לא יודעת למה. אני מרגישה יותר טוב שם. ומותר לי להיות קצת מוזרה שם, כי אני זרה, חחח. אבל בכלל, אני צריכה לנסוע, אני צריכה לעשות משהו. אני רוצה ללמוד להרגיש בנוח עם עצמי, לאהוב את עצמי. זה מאוד קשה לי. אני מרגישה שבישראל האנשים מקבלים את אחד לשני יותר מבאמריקה. הם יותר ידידותיים ושמחים. אני חושבת שזה בגלל שהם יותר בוגרים והם יודעים מה באמת חשוב בחיים. אני צריכה להיות עם אנשים כאלה. אז אני רוצה שתדעו שאני אוהבת אתכם, ממש ממש אוהבת אתכם!! אני מרגישה כל כך שמחה במדינה המדהימה שלכם. הייתי שמחה לעלות לארץ אבל זה קשה כי אני לא יהודייה. לפחות אני יכולה לבקר את החברים היקירים שלי. ואני מתכוונת לכולכם, לא רק לחברים שכבר יש לי. תודה אם קראתם את כל זה...אני מאוד מודה לכם! חג שמח. :) Edit: I am adding translations for people who don't know Hebrew, but this one is way too long so I'll just summarize it. I was talking about my problems with social anxiety. Basically I start by saying how it started when I switched from a great school to a horrible school (ok, it wasn't that horrible), and then I tell about some really embarrassing thing that happened to me (which is what made me want to write this), and then basically I talk about how I have wanderlust and want to travel, and how I want so badly to go spend some time in Israel because I feel at peace there and because I love Israeli people so much. אז מחר אני טסה לסאן פרנציסקו בשביל לבקר את דודה שלי, וגם בגלל שאחותי רוצה לבקר באוניברסיטות. היא עוד מעט מסיימת את בית ספר התיכון. אני כל כך שמחה שאני טסה מחר כי המשפחה שלי כבר שם ואני מאוד בודדת פה לבדי! :( ENG: Helloooo? Is anyone reading this? ;) So tomorrow I am going to San Francisco to visit my aunt, and also because my sister wants to visit universities. She is about to finish high school. I am so happy that I am flying tomorrow because my family is already there and I am very lonely here by myself.
