Since November I haven't made progress with languages. However, I think it's good to point out what worked for me in this year and what didn't.
Russian Penguin it's a wonderful book, yet a bit dry. Couldn't use it as a main coursebook, instead I found the website Russian RT a valuable learning material which I'll certainly maintain in the next year as main resource. German Colloquial German takes the prize of the most useful book I've used for learning German until now. Along with Assimil, these two books were my main resources.
