It has been a couple days, life has been busy and sadly I hadn't had the chance to do much..
Russian - continued Memrise Pimsleur 1. Other than the two new words last update, this has all been old stuff. Some of the definitions they chose for the words seem slightly odd, but I knew them all and have been working on reviewing them. Haven't had a chance to go further through the Penguin course. Dutch - Read another 47 pages of my Kameleon book. Couple unfamiliar words, again: tandwielkast - gearbox aandrijfas - shaft vitrines - showcases Don't have the time today to write in Dutch/Russian, but I'll try tomorrow. It's a great sign that the unfamiliar Dutch words you listed are so obscure. I think I

Yeah, all the more common stuff I still recognized.
I think that my big problems are more putting the words into sentences on my own. I recognize words when I see them, but the recall isn't that great when I actually have to use them. I'm currently trying to figure out how to best fix that issue. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Ja, ik moet wel meer Nederlands gebruiken. Maar dat is makelijker om te zeggen dan te doen, vaak.
Als jullie me kunnen corrigeren, zou dat heel veel helpen. Ik ben de heele dag wel bezig met de kinderen, en ik zou wel Nederlands met hen spreken. Ik lees wel vaak kinderboeken in het Nederlands (Nijntje, Dora). Maar het is moeilijk om overal Engels te horen en dan in Nederlands denken. Ik moet het gewoon meer oefenen. Ik heb wel heel veel Disney filmen in het Nederlands, is kan probeeren om die vaker te spelen. Ik ga ook mijn ouders vragen om alleen Nederlands naar ons spreken. Ik heb begonnen met Anki. Ik ben nog niet zeker precies hoe ik het wil gebruiken, maar nu do it zoiets: Voorkant: "Ik geloof dat die vent het hotel aansprakelijk wil stellen, of zoiets." Achterkant: als je verantwoordelijk/responsabel bent (voor iets) Ik wil het wel allemaal in een taal te hebben, als dat kan. Ik speel er nog een beetje mee. ---- В русский язык, Я не могу понять толковый словарь ещё. Так, Анки must be used in a different way for it to be effective. Я не знаю,как. Я буду думать об этом. Daar ben ik het met je eens! I'm a little hesitant to make any corrections because Dutch is your native language and not mine after all, but I'll point out a few things. :-) Ik ben de heele dag wel bezig met de kinderen, en ik zou wel Nederlands met hen spreken. heele --> hele Double e's (as in heel) typically become a single e when declined. I would also write "ik zou wel Nederlands met hen willen spreken", but perhaps dropping the willen is colloquial usage I'm not familiar with? Ik lees wel vaak kinderboeken in het Nederlands (Nijntje, Dora). Maar het is moeilijk om overal Engels te horen en dan in het Nederlands denken. Ik moet het gewoon meer oefenen.
