Joking aside, part of the reputation for Italian comes from the fact that some very famous beautiful people spoke/speak it. |

[QUOTE=Medulin] In India, Italian is not considered beautiful. Sonia Gandhi's foreign accent is mocked at
by almost every Indian.
I think every foreign accent in every foreign language is often mocked . Here in italy i have heard
comedians make mockeries of English ,german ,french ,spanish accents and many others . If you like the
sound of a language or not it is often a matter of personal tastes, i agree on that

- Italian doesn't have many consonant clusters. I think the factor that ruins the reputation of German is the consonant clusters; such as "schwerig" or "nicht". Too few vocals.
- Italian words usually end with a vocal; that gives the language a poetic essence.
- Always one vocal being stressed in every word gives them some sort of a melodic sound. (also stress being more powerfull then other common languages)
- Ortographical clearence.
- It is spoken in a beatifull country. Italy is famous for beatifull things and events. Italy and therefor Italian language reminds us nice things when we hear it; such as gondolas, chianti, Tuscan countryside, Ferrari, Monica Bellucci, Juventus and most important of them all; pizza.
