I personally reccommend that you start with Michel Thomas, and go through his Foundation, Advanced, Reviews, Language Builder, and Vocabulary courses. They will give you a solid grounding in the Spanish verb system and plenty of speaking practise. Alongside these, you could also do Pimsleur to help with accent and pronounciation.
Later, I hear Assimil is a natural step after Michel Thomas.
