Comment Front cover of the book. Please forgive the aged look, I use it a lot. Never mind the French title, the book is almost exclusively written in Russian. Version Nouvelle entièrement remaniée et actualisée means 'New version fully overhauled and updated. Since the book was originally written in the 1970's, they had to take out all the Communist-era material and replace it with more recent texts. A big job and it was a success.
