This is the thread for organizing the TEAM い for the TAC 2012. I've taken the liberty of starting it, so that anyone who is interesting in studying with this team can sign up. So far the only language is Japanese. If anyone has any suggestions for including another language or improving TEAM い, please feel free to post here!

What's TAC? (Official TAC 2012 Log)

TEAM MEMBER LOGS:

Brun_Ugle's Log (TAC 2012 team い)
TAC 2012 - Team い - finding time for four (Sunja)
EverLog (Everplayer)
日本語 and me the next round TAC 2012 Team い g-bod
Takato’s log - TAC 2012 Team い
Japanese Language Log (TAC 2012 Team い) (leisaowns)
TAC 2012 (Team Žá) 日本語, français, русский (pineappleboom)
Erwin’s quest (Team い - TAC 2012)
Japanese from scratch TAC Team い (kraemder)
More Japanese TAC 2012 Team い (fortheo)

To echo the team logs of some of the other TAC participants, the only requirement is that you start your own log TAC 2012 and update it regularly throughout the year. This is the place to sign up, and you can post any personal achievements or frustrations as the case may be. So introduce yourself and say what you hope to achieve this year. Include whatever you like!

So, I'm studying French, Japanese, Turkish and some German in 2012. I first became interested in Japanese culture when I worked for Fuji Bank in Los Angeles, in the 90's. I've moved, plus I've stayed busy over the years so it's always been difficult for me to keep up with this incredible language. I took a break from Japanese in 2010 and now I'm ready to get back into it!

And just to get everybody in the spirit of the season, here's some really interesting year-end traditions!

おせち - traditional "bento" which is very time-consuming to make but very beautiful.
年越し蕎麦 toshi-koshi soba - year-crossing soba (isn't that great?)
こう はく うた がっ せん - this sounds traditional in the same way "Wetten Das" is for Germany, except it's a New Year's tradition!

OK. I'm in. I just started my log here.

I also intend to become awesome in Japanese this year. I want to be a fluent reader and listener, and maybe writer. Speaking can wait.

Hey! I'm already on the Romance Slavic Team, and I don't know the rules for being on more than one team. But I'd love to join this team as well. I'm at an intermediate level in Japanese(around B1), and this year i'd really like to improve to an advanced level (C1).

I think so long as you can do your duty in terms of supporting both teams it shouldn't be a problem? It would be a pleasure to have you on team い at any rate!

I'm in for 2012. I'm still doing 2011 so I guess I'll just change the title after the new year to い? I hope to be
awesome in 12. I'm still at a beginner stage though but making steady progress.

I am in.

I didn't do to well for 2011, but i have been back on track with my studying the past few months :)

I still have my 2011 log ( though I haven't updated in a while ) However, i would much rather start fresh with a new log.

would that be alright?
