Francesco is right. This hyperpolyglot may be the real deal but the proof is not satisfactory. All we can say from watching the videos is he is pretty good with the pronunciation of many languages. One can learn by heart how to say a few sentences of a foreign language without even knowing the meaning.Fluency is a lot more than that.We also wonder how good he is at reading and writing.I hope he will release more videos to shock and awe us.

I didn't mean to be suspicious or nit-picking, I wish to underline it, my comment was more in the way of a constructive proposal, something that may help to bring out one's talent more fully and beautifully. Poliglottery is not a race nor a competition, so my attitude is not: "hey, c'mon, where's the evidence that you really can *speak* 17 languages", etc etc. These videos shouldn't be pillory poles, but positive displays of skill for people who sincerely enjoy them. The "teenage wannabe guitarist" attitude, where beginners put on airs and sneer at each other on Youtube, should stay out of the game. We're doing this for the pleasure, so three cheers for the English guy and for all those who have the guts to display their talent in a video!

That's pretty amazing. His accents were spot on. I hope he posts more videos so we can learn a bit about his methods.

FrancescoP, I think you have an excellent suggestion. It would probably be a very time consuming project, but should Torbyrne or any other hyperpolyglot actually do what you have proposed, it would be very impressive indeed.

I don't think he does this to impress or shock or awe you.

I can't open the video. Youtube says Это видео только для избранных (this video is for the CHOSEN ones only). Damn, I'm not the chosen one :(
