Well my Norwegian dreams were short lived, as my dad won't be learning it, instead
Swedish, and I think I will do that with him. Maybe one day soon I will still learn
Norwegian, as I got a book on it, but for now only Swedish. |

I am sorry to hear that you dropped Norwegian, I could have helped you, but since we have two Swedes on the team you may still be in luck :-)

Well thanks for the offer anyway. Accepting would have been a pleasure.

Just got Pimsleur's Swiss German, just for fun. My German teacher is Swiss German, and
although she teaches me in Hochdeutsch, I think it might be funny to surprise her.

I feel a bit wierd that I liked this so much but it is becoming harder and harder to
resist Korean... I tell me self, just wait till your done with high school and you have
more time to devote languages but that seems like forever away. Anyone have any advice on
how to deal with the urge to learn a language?

Avoid anything korean-related. That's what I did three years ago when I wanted to learn Russian badly. No music, games, movies or books russian-related. Eventually other things caught my interest and I could forget Russian for while.
Good-luck, Ellsworth. :)

Easier said than done! But studying Korean would be so detrimental to my life that out of necessity it will have to be done.
Wow it must be great to study Russian after the long wait!

Hmm, if it is so inevitable, why don't you do your next 6WC for Korean? Keep telling yourself it is not that forever away. We can't let our urges control us ;)
Yeah, it feels really good now.

Well I need to do this 6 week challenge on French, as I want to place into a French
course at my school. Maybe the fall one, but even then it would probably be better to
continue with my TAC languages. It may not be too bad. I really love the languages I am
working on right now.
