By the way, do we have any volunteers for leading team(s) Iberia/Spanish+? We already have godparents/guardian angels for both European and Brazilian Portuguese, as far as I remember, but what about Spanish?

I took the initiative and started the
Chinese Team Thread. I hope that's okay. I collected everyone's name that I could find here. If there's anyone else that would like to join or be an observer, please feel free to pop by ;)
edit: comments and ideas are most welcome!

Okay, as there seems to be interest in a Japanese team, who would take the initiative and start a thread? I'm already hosting the thread of Team Russian, plus I'm only a beginner in Japanese, so I'd be glad if one of the more experienced Japanese learners could do it (kujichagulia, dampingwire, vonPeterhof,...).

Same here, I began last week, so I don't think I'm the best option =P

While I might be an experienced Japanese learner, I'm afraid I'm a complete n00b at this TAC thing. I think
someone mentioned earlier that the team leader should be someone who has taken part in these challenges
before.

I'd be interested in joining a French team if one is made. Currently a comfortable level,
but looking to push even more as I'm currently applying for university in France.
I'd also be up for following a Japanese team. Did my N1 a year and a half ago and haven't
done much since besides a little reading here and there. Depending on where I am early
next year, I might try to bring it back into my studies.

How about me? I was supposed to godfather Team Romulan in 2013 but I did pretty much nothing there -- and unless there's a cry for help in one of the logs I've not caught up with yet this time it wasn't my fault ;) so why not give it another go?
Besides that, I've decided I'll be joining Russian, German and Japanese teams this year again, as well as the Advanced English team (@Cavesa please list me where appropriate).
I've made a Japanese start thread already, I'll edit this post later with the details (because I don't want exactly to be 'team leader')
