Since i'm not noted on the first page yet. I'm signing up to be part of the Scandinavian
Team. Not sure what my level is at the moment but I'm pushing for fluency next year.

I won't be totally or even partially annihilating anyone this year - I'm aiming for
slow and steady - but am interested in the following:
Full year
French
Spanish - though I won't really be focusing on this until latter half of 2014.
Observer / Ally / Guest - I'll probably only study these part of the year, so I
wouldn't want to be counted as a full team member, but I'll still visit & contribute.
Yürükler / Turkish
Italian (if there is one)

About thread titles: would it bother anyone if it was officially not required to put the letters TAC 2014 in log titles? They take up a lot of space and frankly they're just ugly.
Also note that it's not required to list your languages in the title. You can use the tags for the languages and the TAC tag.
edit: One more important reason is that if you have many tabs open, you'l have no clue which is which.

I’ve made up my mind that for 2014 I want to continue to be part of the Russian and the Scandinavian teams. And if the Advanced ESL team gets started I’d like to sign up for that as well.
Russian: A0/A1 aiming for A1+/A2
Swedish: A2 aiming for B1/B1+
English: C1/C2 aiming higher.

Spanish: from nada to B1; and then,
French: from Pimsleur II to A2.
This is my first serious attempt at language learning. (I don't count Pimsleur Mandarin I-III because it
was years ago, it was just for fun, and my Chinese has atrophied to approximately A0.1)

@Cavesa: Am I in some sort of trouble? My name is still not listed as participant on the first page. Is this a
subtle hint that I have made so much nuisance that I am unwanted :-)

There's a lot of interest in French but no team yet by the looks of it. I'd be willing to lead the French team, or
one of them, but I have no experience in TAC. I see that Cavesa has already said she might lead the French
team, and she's definitely more experienced than I am.
Anyway, I count about 29 people mentioning their interest in French in this thread (not all of them stating their
interest in a team), 2 people offering to be leaders (including me) and no godfathers/mothers (although there
was a mention of somebody willing to pitch in when encouragement was needed and the likes).
Anybody else out there? Godfathers/mothers? Potential leaders?

Frankly, this is the kind of thing that pisses me off to no end. However, please let me explain myself before we have some kind of unnecessary confrontation ;)
I think logs related to TAC 2014 (or anything else for that matter) should clearly identify themselves to that effect, so when looking for similarly-themed stuff you still have a chance to spot the ones you don't know yet. That said, I don't think it's important how they identify themselves as long as it's clearly stated somewhere so everybody knows what means what. Many people have shortened it to "TAC'14" or "TAC14" which is somewhat shorter yet still obvious.
If you ask me, I'd officially require to appropriately tag the log if "TAC" is to be dropped from the title -- I think this is not too demanding while feasible already. WRT years, I'd better keep them in the title. After all, you can always write '11–14' instead of "'11, 12, 13, 14" to save space if necessary.
If you're OK with this or have any other reasonable alternatives, I'll be perfectly happy with log titles not having "TAC 2014" in them :)

Spot on. While you can still hover your mouse above the tabs to have the titles pop up, perhaps people who include the letters could do it at the end or in the middle of their titles. Maybe it could even be an official requirement...
