Welcome on board, Cristina! I have already linked your log.
Plus, I have added the list of resources. It's basically the list from Team MIR, but I have added some links I found useful. If you have additional resources that should be linked in our thread, please contact me.

Hi, I'm going to take a crack at Russian again at long last this year. Officially, I'm planning to
study German, French, Dutch and Russian this year, but I'm already at least reading at an advanced
(~B2 or better) in each of those languages, whereas I'm basically a beginner in Russian, so Russian
will be my only language of intensive "study." The other languages I just plan to maintain and
organically improve mostly through written and audio input (i.e. reading books and watching TV) and
maybe writing and conversation practice.
If there isn't a compelling reason to do otherwise, I figure I'll just keep going with my current log
(and change the name as appropriate once TAC2013 is over):

Добро пожаловать, geoffw! I hope you'll enjoy learning Russian with us.
Maybe, we could already think a little bit about names for our team. Do we want to keep the space theme from the last two years? Or does anybody have a totally creative new idea? Let's brainstorm!
I can't really think of a catchy space-related name right now, so I'll just make a start and throw in suggestions:
Team Kremlin/Кремль. Or is this too political? What else is typical of Russia? Borshch, bliny, vodka? Ded Moroz, Snegurochka? Matryoshka?
If it ought to be space-related, we could think about Gagarin (first man in space) or Laika (first dog in space). Or, to recycle and idea from last year, what about Team Soyuz?
And then, of course, there are great Russians like Pushkin or Tolstoy, who could be our spiritual role models. I suppose no one would go for Team Lenin though...
What else can you think of?

I always associate with the food and drink, myself, and Soyuz and Pushkin also seem appropriate. The Matryoshka
seems perhaps a bit hackneyed and clichéd, but also quite an appropriate symbol for the experience of studying
Russian.

"Как вы яхту назовете, так она и поплывёт"
"Восток" - это название корабля Гагарина, антарктической станции и многого другого.
"Удача", "Победа", "Достижение" и т. д.

Great opener, Josquin! That beautiful picture of Saint Basil's Cathedral is already getting me nostalgic. You can count me in again this year; how could I not join my fellow Russian-learning космонавты?!! :)
