I am not sure which course to use for french. I keep changing my mind and I need to decide before 2014.
Assimil is a solution, but I have never been able to finish an assimil yet.
A great greek course I have at home is another option, however it's huge and for total beginners.
Do I need to invent a personal course, focusing on grammar at first maybe and then go straight to composition and french writing? I'd love that, but how do I do it?
How do I devise a personal plan of action? Any ideas?

I have never been able to finish an Assimil course either - but I know a lot of people swear by it. Would it be a possibility to take the grammar only from the Greek course for beginners, and then do the full lessons once you get to unknown vocabulary?

That's what I'll probably do with french. A DIY course that will involve readers, a good grammar book, a good vocabulary and full immersion:) . Thanks Cristina.
