I just got a friendly tweet questioning whether I understand that when you listen to an audiobook, that you are either reading or listening when you listen and read both in the target language, that it only counts for one.
I suppose this is because several times I have read and used and audiobook and a print book of the same title on the same day.
I understand this.
I usually Listen Spanish/Read English.
I generally read the print version without the audiobook.
In a world where most people don't read the manual, I suppose it makes sense to ask...
But I get it.
I really do.
:)
edited to add a missing word.

The best part about Harry Potter is you can spread them out - I'm "saving" the last two for German and ???
one other language, tbd.

Do they have HP in Tagalog? I've got to look.
I've been daydreaming about doing a super challenge in Tagalog.
My Spanish is slowly destroying my Tagalog, even though I watch hours of Taglog every day.
:)

YES, at least the first book is available in Tagalog!
Now, how do I get it?
My daughter will love this!
I will love this.
One book does not a super challenge make, but good translated literature seems to be much more available than it was just a couple of years ago...

So our top two readers so far have both been hooked on
Twilight? Interesting!
Well, I'm one who's reading Twilight in Spanish, having refused to do it in English or
see the movies ... what I LOVE is that I can read pretty easily while still finding new
vocabulary. I think Edward is a stalker, though ... too much teen angst for me. Don't
know if I'll continue the series, even though I got the first book for $3 & others are
available in the local bookstore.
So after a few days:
Books:
1. Twilight 250 pages
I tried to register on the Twitter Bot but think I failed. That's OK with me. I'm one
who's encouraged by other's progress, but don't mind keeping track of my own. I'm just
happy to be part of the challenge.

I've been looking for it, but it's not available on amazon in north America. I'm going to see if I can find a Filipino bookstore in toronto.

I've decided to do the mini-challenge in Spanish, mostly because many Spanish-speaking countries had their World Cup matches this weekend.
13 Jun 2014 méxico-camerún 1:0
13 Jun 2014 españa-holanda 1:5
13 Jun 2014 chile-australia 3:1
14 Jun 2014 colombia-grecia 3:0
14 Jun 2014 uruguay-costa rica 1:3
14 Jun 2014 inglaterra-italia 1:2
15 Jun 2014 suiza-ecuador 2:1
15 Jun 2014 francia-honduras 3:0
15 Jun 2014 fútbol 15 minutes
8 items apart from the last one.
I was obviously hoping to do at least some reading as well, but I kept thinking of how my Tadoku languages are Italian, Swedish and German. I ended up not reading anything in them either :S That's why the advice to "just do another challenge" doesn't work for me :( OMG it was such a relief to read in Italian during a half-time break...

Maybe your twitter account is protected? If so, you need to open it temporarily. The bot will follow you and you can protect it again. This can probably be done manually by surrealix too.
