Hello,

I know there are some other threads on the subject but they were kind of out dated.

To me, it's interesting to read about what language enthusiasts end up doing with their careers and if any are studying to be an interpreter, teacher, professor, etc.

Got a BA in philosophy.

As far as careers, I am stocking a store in the early morning, working close to minimum wage.

I'm doing a dual degree, with Ba (Bachelor of Arts) and LLB (Bachelor of Laws). My Arts majors are
International Relations and English Literature, though I've only done 3 English subjects so I've got a long way
to do. I was going to do french instead of English, but I thought it would be too much work. Of course, I didn't
think about hte fact that English would be alot of work.
Anyway, seeing as I'm still studying, I'm not sure what I'll end up doing, but I suspect it will be in the legal
field.

No such thing as major/dual degree in Russia, but I'm studying applied linguistics, which here does NOT involve teaching. It's more about speech recognition, machine translation etc... Though I'm rubbish at programming :P

I'm currently studying Computer Engineering at university here in Brazil. I hope I'll
have my bachelor's degree by the end of this year (and then the world can end).
