I don't know if people have already discussed this, but if it's possible could we get
godparents for Hebrew and Persian as well? I know there are only two people learning
Hebrew here, but it would be nice to have native speakers around for the
languages besides Arabic.

Do you know of any native speakers who might be interested?

Hello Team Alef! I hope everyone had a nice holiday. I thought I'd spend my 4-day weekend reviewing Persian and
Arabic, but I just ate a lot and relaxed instead. It was very nice to spend some time with my family. For Christmas, I
received "coupons" for a level 2 Arabic class and a Somali language & culture class.

I hope everyone is as excited about the TAC as I am!

My husband and I are always willing to answer Persian questions, so please don't be afraid to post them on my log.
If they are above my level, I'll call in a pro. :P

Hi! I hope it's not too late to join the team. I was on a holiday and got back
recently. Now it's time to get to work. I guess joining TAC will help
me to get over the hump with some of my languages and will give me more motivation to
keep up with my studies. Thank you Johanna for encouraging me to do it!

I've learned Egyptian Arabic for several months and would like to continue. I would
also like to learn MSA simultaneously to be able to read Arabic literature and to watch
TV, especially Al-Jazeera which in its English version is my favorite news channel at
the moment. I guess I'll make more effort to learn MSA next year than EA.
I may flirt a bit with Persian, but as I learn several languages - more or less
actively - I'm not sure if I'll find enough time for it.

Here's a link to my log:

Welcome to the team, Przemek! I'm excited to follow your Arabic progress. I've now set a personal goal for myself
to get you studying Persian fully by the end of the year. Just kidding! :P

Élan: Why not? Remind me from time to time about it. At least I could watch some TV
channel in Persian via satellite, as there are plenty of them, to get used to how the
language sounds.
