I agree, she is a beautiful woman singing in a beautiful language, with a beautiful voice... but it's not the kind of music I would listen to in English. I prefer rock/electro/punk/indie music- doesn't have to be that hard, or metal or anything, but for some reason I prefer female singers in this genre. Maybe this stuff just doesn't sell well in Romania. The type of music becomes more important when you don't understand the lyrics (YET!!) Sorry I'm so fussy ;-)

Though rap isn't usually what I like to listen to, I found two interesting video clips yesterday.

Finnish rap that gives a very good example of how Finnish words are always pronounced with stress placed on the first syllable Julma-henri & Syrtjäytyneet - Oulu-Helsinki

South African rap incorporating a wild mix of Afrikaans slang and EnglishTerror Mc - Liberate Yourself.

I also found a clip of Jim Reeves singing in Afrikaans Jim Reeves - Sarie Marais. I should probably add that Jim Reeves pronunciation of Afrikaans isn't quite right, but his voice is amazing.

Olá Alvinho, sorry I opened another thread without knowing yours... And it is a lively thread here! It is sometimes not easy to remember which artist was already suggested, could we have a more ordered database for all these suggested songs?
