I read books in English a lot. In Spanish a bit less (harder to get in Poland), but I read Spanish fanfiction. I wouldn't even try reading German books, but if I come across something on the net, I can read it.

I'm hoping to get an eReader

A great idea. I’ve bought Kindle several months ago and it’s amazing. I’m quite impatient as a person, and using paper dictionaries during reading was always too boring for me. With e-reader and e-dictionaries it's very comfy and interesting. Another good point – possibility to read books everywhere including public transport, even in a rush hour. Though I read in English mostly as for I didn’t find a Dutch-Russian or at least Dutch-English dictionary for Kindle.

Are there any good Russian-English or Russian-French dictionaries for Kindle? I am hesitant to buy those I've seen because I am uncertain of the quality.

I get my e-books through amazon.fr, and they do have a good selection for the bigger (Western) European languages, such as German, Spanish and Italian. However, I have found very few books in Russian, mainly a few classics by Pushkin and Lermontov. Is there an e-book market in Russia? (Don't think there is an amazon.ru yet)

No idea about the dictionaries.

For buying ebooks, I know of http://www.litres.ru/. I can't guarantee that they will sell abroad, but it's worth a try. You can find free ebooks at http://lib.ru/ and http://lib.aldebaran.ru/. These are not necessarily illegitimate, they seem to have been cooperating with the authors more in recent years.

In the US, I only know of http://www.kniga.com/. There must be others. There must be some sites in Europe too, but I don't know of any myself.

The major site http://www.ozon.ru/context/ebook/ also carries ebooks. I don't know if they sell them to customers outside Russia, you'd have to try and see or read through their policies.

It depends on what do you mean by 'reading'. If you think in a 'classic' way - then before our enormous challenge I've hardly ever read in foreign languages, even in English. BUT, if you mean ANYTHING in foreign languages - yes, maybe not daily, but I like to read from time to time something in my target language - usually some interesting articles. +, as a huge fan of music (unfortunately, a passive one) I read the lyrics quite often :)

I don't want you to recommend pirate sites, but can you point me to some good sites that offer Russian e-books?
