@Evita and @Warp3 - Wow, thank you very much! Raving reviews! I don't know how long it will take me before I'm at an advanced level of Japanese, or at least at a level where I can improve by reading and listening a lot, but hopefully TTMIK and LSK and Iyagi are still around then.

Extensive Reading: - 와라! 편의점 (7 pages) - a few visits to Twitter Listening: - TTMIK 이야기 episodes 41 and 42 (5 passes of each) Active Practice: - a very short conversation with Youngbin on Twitter, but nothing really beyond that --- I'm rather glad I started reading 와라! 편의점 at Naver Comics a few weeks ago as it has been easy to stay motivated to read it every day and several of the episodes have been quite funny. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

You started reading webtoons too? I enjoy them because they're short (as in they don't run for 90834589735 years like Japanese manga) and perfect for my level (I understand roughly 90% of the webtoons I read.)

A while back I tried reading a few of the Naver comics and they all seemed beyond my level, but when I came back and tried 와라! 편의점 again recently I was surprised to find that I actually understood it. I still don't catch every word, but I get enough to understand what is going on without having to look anything up. The best part is since the difficulty level still allows me to get the gist of it, I've been reading it 100% extensively thus far (no lookups, no SRS additions, etc. just reading and enjoyment). 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

That's how I read every webtoon. There are some where my comprehension may only be 70-80%, but simply reading a lot helps. The pictures help give context, too. I learned some words and phrases just through reading webtoons a lot.
