Really? I have gone over lesson 79 several times via shadowing and in my Assimil the text and the audio match, neither have I had a problem with differing sentences in other lessons between text and audio.
I bought my Assimil set October last year ( book publish mark 2005, audio publish mark 2006) , by any chance are you using an older out of date version? eggcluck, I just bought mine off Amazon.com brand new a few months ago. At first these
mishaps were an issue for me because I thought it was really important that I followed Assimil to the "T". But I've since realized it doesn't matter because I know anything I miss in Assimil I'll run into with other materials or in a later lesson. Update: My progress has been really smooth lately. The details of my method change everyday, but the overall idea that guides my "in-lesson" decisions is the same. I basically do two steps in each session. Step. 1 - As quickly as possible gain independent understanding of the recorded dialogue, without the aid of the text (english/pinyin/hanzi). Skim grammar notes. Step. 2 - Re-listen to that dialogue as much as possible, as long as I understand it, until I do the next lesson the next day. Refer to pinyin if I forgot the meaning or some clarification is needed, if the pinyin doesn't trigger recognition than I'll refer to the English. I want to keep my usage of the text to a minimum and capitalize on listening input. Goal = Concentrate as much direct exposure to comprehensible input as possible into my study time. When I start making videos, I want to address the issue of memorizing the dialogues without actually comprehending the target language. As this is a complaint of some people to listening-reading, but also because this was actually what I did wrong when I used Platiquemos and I am successfully avoiding the issue with Assimil. 44 lesson AP, 93 lesson PP today. Pretty stoked, I am regularly coming across all sorts
of realizations about grammar and word usages and stuff. I continue to be extremely excited about the language, even after working for 30min to 2hrs everyday for the last 90 days straight. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Did you get cd's with it or tapes? It's just that I can find a few for sale on ebay but they come with tapes. Or do you know anywhere where I could buy or get the audio only so once I buy the books, I can use instead of tapes. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

I got the CDs and I believe, but I'm not sure, that you can get them on Amazon without
the books. But honestly, it was only 30$ per volume w/ the CDs on Amazon. 1 person has voted this message useful |
