So this week, I just did Assimil & Duolingo.

Assimil: For Passive I just finished lesson 50 and active just finished lesson 5.

Duolingo: Started working on adjective predicative and still working on it. Three more
lessons to go. I got a 91 day streak! :)

Assimil: Passive I am at lesson 56. Active I am at 11. (Though I am kind of cheating
by peeking occasionally. Slowing going through the grammar section in the back.

Essential German: I returned it to the library since it was due and I haven't done it
in a while.

Duolingo: I finished up the predicative and now working on prepositions.

HIMYM: Since How I Met Your Mother is on both Netflix here and in Germany, I have
been planning to watch the episode first in English and then in German. So far I have
done the first two episodes.

Has anybody looked at die Stadt der Worter that Goethe Insitut just released? I'm
curious about it and wondering how good it is.

May I ask you what process you use for the Active Wave on Assimil?   I'm close-ish to getting there on French. I'm
using the e-method software so I thought it might lead you step by step through it more than the books but the
instructions are very cursory.

I look the English side of the book and try to produce the German. If I have a mistake, I
write again without the mistake. When I am done, I listen to the lesson.

I've enjoyed reading about your progress--I'm well behind you, but also using Assimil and Duolingo.

I just saw that MIT has an opencourseware German I class, downloadable now. I haven't taken any of their classes, so can't say if it's good or not.

I wonder how that course is. I looked at it, but didn't feel like buyng the books
required for it. I'll have to keep watching your log so I can find out if it is good or
not :)

Assimil: This week I am up to Passive 67 and Active 22. I like doing the Passive still,
but knowing that I am doing the active afterwards is making me drag my feet.

Duolingo: Working on learning the second round of present tense verbs.

Memrise: This week I started learning the 1000 words of German. Just doing it a bit by
bit.

HIMYM: I don't keep track of this very well apparently that is easy to look up, I think
I'm on episode eight.
