I have a question for all y'all learning Breton: what resources are you using? Assimil
is only available in French, last I checked, and I haven't been able to find many others.
I've searched and found a few, but they were mostly older and poorly organized. Heck,
I've found more Manx/Cornish resources. Just curious.

I use Assimil, and Petit grammaire du breton moderne (Desbordes), and an online Breton-
Dutch dictionary.

@tarvos: probably documented somewhere else, but what did you think of the grammar book? Did it help you?

It's helped me a few times to understand some of the finer points concerning the Breton
verbal tense system, but I have to admit I do not use it very often. Most of my exposure
is directly through Assimil, and in 99% of cases, the grammar appendix suffices. But the
Assimil booklet mentions that grammar as a reference and copies some of the content
almost verbatim.

The sun is up, the decks are scrubbed and glistening beneath the clouds, and the sails have already been unfurled, flapping expectantly like chattering doves in clement winds. Let's all welcome in the new year and set sail for 2013 in a sailing chorus of Celtic tongues...

"Athbhliain faoi mhaise dhaoibh" (Ir. Happy New Year), and may the sea cast her blessings on the voyage ahead for Clan Lugus! :)

Just a heads up that I probably won't get a post in this Sunday, and maybe not the week
after, either. I've got a lot of travelling to do coming up (heading down to Miami, then
up to school), but as soon as I can, I'll update my log.

How is everyone doing? I'm thinking of starting a blog for learning Irish. I have a lot of resources I've been making
for my students and would like to share them. If anyone is looking for material go to teg.ie. TEG is the Irish version
of the Delf / DELE. There are materials from A1 - B2. I find them very good for classes.
