Acabo de terminar un viaje a través de los ejercicios de variación FSI - lecciones 3-45. Esa fue una actividad muy útil para mantener mi español.

Ahora, voy a empezar La Aventura Del Pensamiento.

I started listen/reading to Don Quixote de La Mancha again. I hadn't finished it on any earlier start. I have a nice Fusion eBook parallel text. It allows the reader to highlight the same sentence in both languages, which makes it easy to switch back and forth. At times I think I get good results reading the Spanish, at other times the English is inscrutable. The recording is great. The story is great. I picked up the book in English for my iPad too. Just started that reading in English. On the listen/reading track, I'm on chapter 21, Part 1. I listen to this one afterwards in the car too. The common connecting phrases and narration is becoming more understandable. I'll be curious where my comprehension is at the end of the book. I've been doing about a chapter per day. Most are about 15-20 minutes in length.

I continue with Don Quixote. Currently on chapter 35 in part 1 (of 2). Just finished up a couple of 40+ minute chapters on Anselmo, Lothario, y Camila. In the car, I've been listening to Filosofía Aquí y Ahora , which is interesting, but other preoccupations sometimes get in the way. Also listening a bit to CNN en Español, which is nice because of the varied nature of news broadcasts. It's not like zoning out on a novel for 5 or 30 minutes where you may miss an important part of the storyline.

After getting to the end of part 1 of Don Quixote, I've reloaded again. I'm going through reading in English, then later listening in Spanish. I also listen in the background while working at times. Don Quixote is coming along.

I finished up with season 1 of http://www.taringa.net/posts/ciencia-educacion/12376401/Filo sofia-Aqui-y-Ahora-IV-Mp3-Audios-Cuarta-Temporada.html .

I've also been listening to 7 habits in Spanish and have started a review of the FSI Basic Spanish translation drills.

Entonces mi esposa me dijo que vamos a San Juan Puerto Rico por unos días para celebrar nuestro aniversario en octobre. Voy a estudiar mucho más español que antes. He estado estudiando Perfectionnment Assimil Espagnol, pero sólo de vez en cuando. Quiero estudiar más. Tengo que estudiar más. Estoy seguro que lo que he escrito no es perfecto. No me gusta practicar errores, pero ¿qué puedo hacer?
