It's time to play the music...
It's time to light the lights...
It's time to post your summaries on the Celtic Show tonight! ♫♫♫
With members already signing up for next year's TAC, let's all draw this year's challenge to a close with a summary of our progress and any thoughts and reflections about where we would like to set sail for next with our Celtic languages.
I've probably served more as a Captain Haddock (of Tintin infamy; not our very own HTLAL member of course) than as a prodigious Captain Nemo, swallowed up by so many other responsibilities and setbacks since my big opener and hopeful net of seaworthy ideas. However I've thoroughly enjoyed wayfinding across these waves with you all this year, and been inspired by the passion, dedication, and support that's bound our little boat together.
Sadly I won't be able to captain the Celtic Team next year, as my work and study schedule is headed for a whirlpool of disgruntled hydras, but I really hope someone will rise to the challenge and help us keep a presence for Celtic languages in the TAC for the third year in a row - that in itself would really be something!
Once again, I think many of you have taken amazing steps forward in your languages, and all despite me "falling overboard" on some pretty tough personal times later in the year. I'd have rather "gone overboard" on progressive ideas and team activities, which was my original intention, and my apologies for letting you down, guys.
Here's my summary for 2014.
