HIGHLY EMOTIONAL INTERACTION.

I totally agree (nice use of caps, btw). Highly emotional interaction is almost worthless, and can severely inhibit
learning. Keeping the emotion out of language learning is the secret, the silver bullet, to infinite success.
Emotionless learning ensures that one can learn anything, under any conditions. There is a study underway
measuring the learning abilities of the dead, and preliminary results show they are almost 22% more efficient than
the average over-emotional forum dweller. The study, of course, is secret, and can be found as a microdot on
the 22nd second of this film.

You're all wrong. The key to learning a language is to earnestly believe that learning
any language is a simple and easy process that doesn't take very long, and keep that in
mind while you study. Seriously, it works. It's not hard to consciously do, either. If
you feel like you're having trouble understanding a rule, say to yourself, "Shut up. No
you're not. You understand all of this and you're doing it fine." If you do that, then
you can work quickly and with ease. Then you just have to study it all. Anyone else
who's seen this?

You are absolutely wrong and I strongly disagree with all of you... because learning a language is about using a language as much as possible and forgetting that you are learning it.

And it is the old drilling repetition method, but using real people instead of textbooks.

You can use these techniques along with classical courses. Read a lesson with its grammar and vocabulary and then go to forums and chatrooms and drill everything again and again with real people.

Make your lessons alive and emotional.

I have seen others making similar claims. It seems to me that they are confusing two
concepts: "positive attitude" and "wishful thinking".

You are right, but I am not sure that this confusion is bad.

Difficult and easy are subjective labels. Something is more or less difficult depending on your mood, motivation and so on. Wishful thinking can be a self full-filing prophecy and a useful one.

Sometimes people succeed with difficult tasks because they don't know that they are difficult. That is why I claim that it is better to forget about learning and start playing.

I know that some of you feel bad because my methods are not politically correct. It seems I am taking advantage of poor trolls to practice my skills. Maybe some of you think that these methods are too extreme and you feel you will get sick if you behave like that. I understand this feelings and there are solutions.

First, you can be a good boy or girl and use these methods. You only need to think about human nature. As I said before, people need to be right. Fine. You only need to agree with people, give compliments and make them feel good. If you are sincere, nothing is wrong and you are keeping things ethical. You will have a lot of friendly conversations and you can practice your vocabulary and drill a lot of structures.

Second, you can use this with yourself. You can do it talking aloud or you can write. This is the "trolling with yourself" technique. I will give you an example:

--------------------

Slucido:

If you want to learn ANYTHYNG, you only need highly emotional interaction. Some people claim that learning language is different than learning history or maths. They are wrong. You can argue anything and you will burn this knowledge in your brain.

Troll 1:

Nonsense. If you are emotional, you will learn less because anxiety can be a strong emotion and there is scientific evidence that it hampers learning anything. How is it possible such a ridiculous opinion? I cannot understand this. Please, the more emotional you are, the less you learn.

Troll 2:

Are you Spanish...? I always thought that Spanish people are mentally retarded. If I had known that Spanish people are in this forum, I would not have joined.

Nice guy 1:

Please, Don't insult Slucido. I know him and he is a nice guy with several degrees in several subjects. He is a very sensible fellow and the smarter person I know.

Troll 1:

Don't make me laugh. So far, he is always repeating nonsense, making condescending statements and wasting our time.

Troll 2:

Yes, you are right. I think it is necessary to ban him. I can put up with so much nonsense. Enough is enough. I do not want to write here anymore...

.................

If you engage in this kind of self interaction, you can practice a lot of structures, vocabulary and so on.

I must admit, your argument had an impact on me, Slucido, until you started repeating yourself endlessly... Then my eyes started glazing over. Nevertheless, I still read everything, though it was quite painful.

I think many who have posted here are doing what Karl of Chanel does so convincingly. That is, recycling the same silhouette in every haute couture collection and continuing to present it as new and fresh.

You are right.

Learning a language is a repetition business: endless repetition. If you read the forum, you will find endless methods of doing endless repetitions in endless ways. Pretty basic.

The trick is about doing endless repetitions without getting sick. It is not about the repetitions themselves.
