I think I'll sign up for Hindi. I need something to motivate me to get working on it. I won't be very active for the first few days as I've got a couple of essays due, but I should be fine past then.

Time to make a Twitter account.

Just wondering - should I count time that I spend chatting to staff in Icelandic stores as Icelandic practise?

Extremely pleased that I've just understood most of a German conversation between a couple of people who've just met, in this café. Might have to log these instances as listening practise too.

to PaulLambeth: Sure, count it up to your Icelandic if it is anything helping you learn and practice. And listening to German natives trying to understand as much as possible? Great, add it in. Noone but you can tell what you should count because noone else can tell what was useful and what was not.

edit: I forgot to post. I joined and chose German again as my main language.

I'm going to have Hungarian as my target language for the second time but will be studying a lot of Czech too plus some Spanish and Slovak so the overall study hours will be my most important league table.

The last 6WC was a great help to me and made me put in a lot more study hours than I otherwise would have done. So yes, I'm going to join this one as well, but I still don't know with what language ...

Russian again or Dutch or Italian or Chinese or Arabic or Polish or Estonian or Greek (ancient or modern) or Latin ... those are all serious candidates but I must decide on which one motivates me the most. Right now it feels like Dutch (beginner) or Italian (A2?).

This comes at such a good moment, just when I need the extra motivation to start studying Persian seriously. :)

Signed up a few minutes ago. This is the first time that I am trying this challenge. I decided to go with Dutch. I see
there is already another user doing the same. Maybe we can practice our Dutch ;)

Finally a challenge I'm right on time. I just got signed. I hope to really give my French a boost.
