Merhaba!
I wish to join all of you as I begin my study of Turkish in earnest after several years of casual flirting with its beautiful grammar. I will be focusing on the spoken language as I will be visiting Turkey late in 2014 and will therefore try to avoid (for now) the archaisms and constructions only used in the written language. I will therefore listen to native materials from the beginning. I am currently A0 and wish to get to a high-A2/low-B2 by the end of the year. I just noticed that I hadn't postet anything here yet. Sorry! My log is here. I had started learning Turkish some years before but had to abandon it after some months. Now I'll try again. The Turkish keyboard layout is so confusing! The best I can manage is to use a site
like Turkish Type It, where I can type normally until I need a Turkish letter. I updated my log, and included some sample dialogues from Assimil and FSI. I'm pleased with both courses, and would definitely recommend that people check out FSI.
