The team in 2014 for those interested in studying Polish or Ukrainian
***
The team's name is Sokoły / Соколи
The team's motto is Razem tworzymy przyszłość / Творимо iсторiю разом
The team's song is Hej, Sokoły / Гей, соколи
"Rules"
1) Each member is responsible for his/her own log. It's not important if he/she creates a new log solely for entries pertaining to TAC in a given year or uses an existing one. The point is to study the target language(s) and when helpful or possible cooperate with the rest of the team. This thread may be used to post information relevant for the group or updates on one's progress as noted in the individual log.
2) Each member may dabble in any language as desired or even change the main target language(s) during the year as long as at least one target language is Polish or Ukrainian.
3) Each member may join other teams without losing membership here. One only needs to be studying at least one of Polish or Ukrainian to be on this team.

Which do you prefer? Ukrainian only or Polish-Ukrainian?

Could I join as an observer? I am interested in both Polish and Ukrainian, but I do not know whether I will get
to do any actual studying this year. I would love to see what the rest of you are up to though :-)
If I had to chose one language only, I would go for Ukrainian. I did not vote in the poll, so there should still be
some potential candidates out there.

I'm in. I don't mind if we're just Ukrainian or both Ukrainian and Polish as I'm interested in both. My main focus for actual studying will be Ukrainian though.

Well since I have been focusing almost exclusively on Russian, which for natural reasons is not a priority of
yours, I guess it is only normal. I look forward to it, but remember that I am only an observer :-)

I'd prefer Ukrainian by itself, although if there's enough interest, I wouldn't object to both, because I'll be studying both throughout the year. But as far as actual studying, the focus will really be with Ukrainian--Polish will be mainly reviewing what I've already learned and trying to improve on what I have now, not so much "new" material.
