Dear friends of the Russian language,
welcome to the team thread of Team Pushkin, named after the great Russian poet and novelist Александр Сергеевич Пушкин! This thread is our home where we can discuss everything concerning our team and our progress in learning Russian. We can encourage each other, ask questions about Russian language and culture, and arrange Skype sessions or monthly challenges.
How does it work?
The goal of the TAC (Total Annihilation Challenge) is to stay focused on your target language(s) for a whole year. How much studying you do is up to you. The important thing is doing something, keeping track, and reporting about your progress in your log.
If you face difficulties or problems, the team is here to help you. That’s why there are more advanced learners and beginners on the same teams. We should follow each other’s logs, comment on them, and encourage our team mates in order to keep each other motivated. We will do some small monthly team challenges and have Skype meetings. They are both great ways to keep the team active.
Everyone who would like to become a member of this team, please sign up on the HTLAL Wikia first! As soon as you have signed up, you can create your personal TAC log and inform us in this thread. This post will regularly be updated with the names, logs, and TAC languages of our current members.

Good luck everyone. I'm personally starting from scratch here, but hopefully seeing the more advanced learners' progress will help me get through the tough beginning.

Hi Josquin and all the team mates. I guess officially we cick off on 1 January, but that shouldn't stop any of us from studying lot of Russian during the next two weeks, right? I hope to have a productive Christmas holiday language-wise, and look forward to being back here with you in 2015.
Happy holidays to all of you.

Всем здравствуйте!
I don't know how many specific Russian things I'll do next year, but considering it's a
language I just can't get away from I'm betting it will improve. :) I hope to see and
hear from you all soon!

A bit too soon, but it's great to see you guys on board! Maybe next year I can follow the good examples over here and bring my Russian to a new level. Count on me to help choosing materials, gathering for Skype sessions and just keeping the boat moving.

Thanks for starting the thread, Josquin, happy to see you as captain again. I am also happy to see you all
here (and I do not suppose there is any way to persuade you to join us, Teango, I will miss you terribly!!!).
Another fresh start, and a new team eager to devour and conquer the Russian language.
I started practically at scratch on my first TAC - I have evolved a tad and I feel confident that we will all see
major improvements to our Russian when a year has passed. Good luck to you all!
